The music world is bracing for what could be the biggest pop culture event of 2026. Renowned DJ and producer Diplo has officially confirmed his involvement in BTS’ highly anticipated comeback album, titled Arirang, promising that the project will be nothing short of revolutionary.
Speaking at the Fanatics Super Bowl LX party this past weekend, the Major Lazer mastermind opened up about his time in the studio with the global icons. Despite a career spanning three decades and collaborations with the world’s biggest stars, Diplo admitted that this project stands in a league of its own.
Diplo told TMZ:
I just feel so lucky because I’ve been working for three decades, and to link up with a group like that, and have them trust me and do some awesome music … honestly, it’s gonna shock the world,” Diplo said Saturday night. “Craziest album ever.“
Diplo also said to TMZ that BTS are so hands-on. They’re so creative. I can’t believe it. Besides, he said Jungkook’s voice is perfect and that he doesn’t need autotune!

A New Chapter For ARIRANG (BTS Comeback 2026)
Arirang marks BTS’ first full-group release in nearly four years, following the completion of the members’ mandatory military service. The album’s title, a nod to the traditional Korean folk song symbolizing resilience and longing, suggests a project deeply rooted in their heritage while pushing global sonic boundaries.

The album is set to feature 14 new tracks, with a global release scheduled for March 20, 2026.
Diplo Praises “Real Deal” Artistry
During his red-carpet revelation, Diplo was quick to dispel any myths about the group’s production process, emphasizing that RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook are “hands-on” creators.

“They’re the real deal,” Diplo shared. “They rap, they produce, they’re funny as hell, and they’re thorough professionals.” He specifically singled out Jung Kook’s vocal prowess, noting that the youngest member’s voice is “perfect” even without any studio enhancements. “No autotune needed, it’s just pure talent.”
